Texas House of Representatives.
A native-Texan, Geoff is a conservative who believes in small government, lower taxes and fiscal responsibility. The worst economy since the Great Depression has hit our community hard and as a leader in the community, Geoff understands the values and struggles of families here in North Texas.
Geoff had the opportunity to work at the White House for Vice President Dick Cheney where he saw first-hand how good government can make a positive impact in people’s lives. From that experience, Geoff took with him a greater appreciation for conservative principles.
Geoff returned home to Texas to work on one of the biggest challenges of this generation – reducing America’s dependence on foreign oil. Geoff joined T. Boone Pickens to help convince Congress and Americans of the economic and environmental benefits of alternative energy. Geoff is still working for the Pickens Plan and believes Texas is blessed with resources, like wind and natural gas, that can alleviate our energy crisis and provide tens of thousands of new green jobs for Texas workers.
In addition to ending Texan’s dependence on foreign oil, Geoff’s top priorities include lowering our tax burden to get our economy growing again and making sure our schools prepare our children for this century’s global economy. Geoff will also focus on bringing practical solutions to the mounting crisis in North Texas transportation and infrastructure. Most importantly, Geoff is committed to bringing his fresh ideas to Austin to ensure accountability and improve efficiency at our State Capital.
With redistricting upon us, it is critical that Republicans keep control in Austin. The party that controls the State House will draw the political lines that govern Texas for the next decade. Our conservative values and principles are at stake.
